Whether you're an emerging director or an experienced creator, our festival is the ideal place to share stories, connect with fellow filmmakers, and expand your professional network. However, our primary goal is to create a pure screening experience. No Q&A sessions or panel discussions—just a dedicated space for filmmakers to share their work in a theatrical setting.
Annual Screening Venue
Our annual screening takes place at the Cameo Picturehouse—a unique venue offering audiences a cozy atmosphere to enjoy their viewing experience. Located in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, the Cameo Picturehouse provides the perfect backdrop for cinematic appreciation.
In a constantly changing world, we need stories to understand the patterns of life.

Films
All nominees, official selection winners, and laureates will receive official diplomas from the Cavalcade Independent Film Festival. Films that win the seasonal competitions will compete among themselves for the opportunity to be screened at our venue.

All laureates will receive certificates and laurels.
During the four-month competition period, we host online screenings. Winning films may choose to opt out if they wish. They will automatically advance further in the competition.
Screenplays
All nominees, official selection winners, and laureates will receive official diplomas from the Cavalcade Independent Film Festival. Authors of winning scripts will have the opportunity to showcase their screenplays on our platform.

All finalists and laureates will receive certificates and laurels.
All winners from the four-month competition period will be automatically nominated for participation in the annual screening.
Rules
[Submission Rules]
All films must be submitted in English or with English subtitles (if in a different language)
All films must have been made in or after 2023
Short films must not exceed 45 minute
Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright for all material in their films

By submitting to us, you give us consent and the right to screen your film in front of a live audience and, under special circumstances, in an online screening. You may opt out of online screenings at your discretion, which will not affect the overall decision regarding inclusion in the annual screening program
We retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed about any changes through email and our online platforms
We place no restrictions on your work in terms of premiere status or whether your work has been made available online
We do not accept partial screeners, trailers, or screener links that require access other than password-protected links

Any technical issues with the submitted films are 100% the responsibility of the filmmakers. If, at the time of judging, your video file doesn’t work or doesn’t have English subtitles (if in a language other than English), it will be automatically rejected without a refund. Please contact the festival team as soon as possible if there are any issues with the submission process, and a solution will be found.
